Procedure Steps
Step 1.
Have patient clean teeth with Fresh Up wipe. Once patient’s teeth are clean and free of surface debris, use white light mode on DayLight 5K to measure pre-treatment shade.

Step 2.
If not done so for previous procedures, bib patient.

Step 3.
Insert the cheek retractor.

Step 4 .
Remove cap from Formula C/E whitening accelerator gel. Slowly turn the crank on the bottom of the dispenser until a bubble of gel forms on the brush. Using the brush, apply a light, uniform coating of accelerator gel to tooth surfaces to be whitened.

Step 5.
Switch DayLight 5K to blue light mode; set timer to 10 minutes.

Step 6.
Use the Brilliance Whitening Rinse

Step 7.
Open packet and position mouthpiece so that rear walls of mouthpiece are against posterior surfaces of upper and lower teeth and anterior surfaces are behind foam pads. Assure that foam pads are flat against tooth surfaces and not folded or creased. Lips are to be on outside of mouthpiece with clear lens protruding between lips.

Step 8.
Position DayLight 5K so that front lens is touching mouthpiece lens.

Step 9.
Set the DayLight 5K for 20 minutes and press start.

Step 10.
DayLight 5K will beep when cycle is complete. Remove DayLight 5K, then remove mouthpiece.

Step 11.
Have patient swish for at least 90 seconds the entire contents of single dose bottle of brilliance whitening finishing rinse.

Step 12.
After 90 seconds, have patient expectorate finishing rinse.

Step 13.
Use white light mode on DayLight 5K to measure and note post-treatment shade.
